- My Practice
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Rhode Island College located in Providence Rhode Island. After that I moved back home to Texas to attend graduate school at St. Edwards University (SEU) in Austin, Texas. I earned my M.A. in Counseling from SEU studying both individual & marital/family therapy. Currently I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (Texas license number 201435).
A significant portion of my practice is spent working with couples around infidelity (emotional & physical) and men who struggle with problematic sexual behavior. I spend time assessing the nature of the struggle and then guide the client through a program of therapy that is proven by research to help in the recovery of healthy life interaction.
Before attending college I spent 10 years serving in the United States Air Force as a computer operations specialist. During that time I lived in Germany, Alaska & Saudi Arabia before returning home to Texas.
I present on a regular basis to local organizations on mental health & relational topics such as suicide, men’s sexual addiction issues, communication & conflict resolution. I am also a presenter at Together In God’s Image, which is a premarital preparation program offered by the Diocese of Austin.
In my spare time enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter as well and working/playing with my dogs Izzy & Lilly.
I offer the following assessments:
- Sexual Dependency Inventory-Revised (SDI-R 3.0)
- Hyper-sexual behavior screening
- Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST)
- Post Traumatic Stress Inventory (PTSI)
- Prepare/Enrich premarital inventory (P/E)
- FOCCUS premarital inventory
