Why Intuitus?

 Intuitus Group is a community of mental health professionals drawn together by their common desire to support the dignity and integration of the human person and human relationships.

Each clinician at Intuitus Group has unique training in addition to practicing EMDR therapy. We share a common goal of providing proficient, effective, and compassionate treatment with a whole-person perspective. We value integrity and hold ourselves to the highest standards of professional practice. The treatment we provide is grounded in evidence-based theories and interventions, delivered in an ethical manner, with respect for the inherent dignity of the person. 

 Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a form of counseling or psychotherapy based on the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model—both developed by Francine Shapiro. The AIP model utilizes our brain’s natural inclination toward health, and sees many emotional and mental health issues as being the result of unprocessed or maladaptively processed experience. By identifying and reprocessing pivotal experiences in the past, current struggles and symptoms diminish significantly.
